is there a reason why you want a dual battery setup???

for the price of the second battery and the isolator you might as well get a dual cycle battery... it's the **** if you know wat i mean

in my dads 4wd he has a dual battery but he wanted a sub ( dont ask me why :S ) and i dunno which battery to use for the direct power

definently use the boot battery... and don't forget to check the wiring from batterty 1 to battery 2... you might need to upgrade the wiring depending on how powerful the amp is etc etc... before anyone can help you, you need to explain your situation in detail... like how is the second battery connected? how big is the wiring between the two batteries? are you using an isolator? etc etc
