Hilux Ignition Problems

Hey everyone,

I have a 93 Hilux and lately for some reason occasionally when I go to turn the ignition off after I have been driving, the lux doesnt turn off. I turn the key all the way to off and it basically doesnt do anything. I was wondering if someone could help me out. Thanks heaps.

Hey matey,Could be anything but Ide check the ignition switch & barrel first,the switch might still be stuck in the on circuit (if u know wat i mean?) I dont think itll be the engine bay coz it all starts & finishes at the flick of the switch? Good luck

REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH. DO YOU HAVE ANY EXTRA WEIGHT ON THE KEY WHEN ITS ON....

petrol or deisel?

mine used to do it it was the petty model with 22r in it turn out to be the timing wasnt quite right as well as the carby needed a kit thru it as well as tuning but as for as deisel model havent heard of anythin maybe the fuel cut off solenoid is playin up a bit

05 Hilux ignition problems 

key turns fully, all lights on but no cranking this has happened only on the last month 3 times randomly and I use it every day, does any one gave any idea?

iv had key checked but it’s ok apparently
