Hey Fellow Members,

SRC and a few other clubs are heading down to WSID on the 13th of Feb and they have extended the invite for us to join them.

So lets get some TOCA vehicles down on the 13th to pull down some good 1/4 times.

For those that havent been before ..... let me just say there is nothing more heart pounding than watching that christmas tree going towards green with a 10sec rotary monster spooling up next to you .... :lol: :lol:

Will be some good fun.

Racing starts usually at 6pm and i think the gates open @ 4:30pm.

I may head out and smash some gears down the strip in 17 seconds of pure rage unleashing the astounding 62.6kW of 4A-GE powers my MR2 possesses...

... Then again I may just sit in the stands in the cold and take some pictures :P

ide b embarrased to take my car down the strip, i cant drive properly. And people will just be waiting to see when a corollas gonna pass the finishline.

Whats it cost? to run ur car?

HAHA nah you will be aigh. i ran down the quarter a while back for the first time. was quite nervous. it costs $50 and depending on how many people turn up u should be able to squeeze in about 5 runs. it all depends on how busy it is.

hmmm, now if only i can get a helmet before then! I will try and borrow a mates..

I've been very keen to hit the drag strip for a while now..Would be a great opportunity to get some racing tips from other sportivo drivers too, seeing as i've never been down the strip before!!!

Also very keen to see your car in action Bill!

how do u think the weather will hold up guys???......

looking at the forecast sydney is clear but it says blacktown might see 1mm of rain early in the day ...... will have to just wait & c ..... still preping the car though and hopefully it will be right

I plan on being there! Dont hold your breath though lol.

There are a few Territory turbos that race and DAMN are they quick. They definitly are not stock though! So come on Kluger power!

ahhh man this would have been a perfect time to give the supra a run..

too bad its got some dodgy hoses which need fixing first.. such a shame..

Nothing at South Windsor at the moment, but I don't like the chances. Any one that is closer to WSID to give us a more accurate weather report?

damm its poring hard in parra.

i live so close to the wsid i can hear the v8s loud and clear when they have their runs. and its pretty clear here. some clouds but and some blue but no rain. :toast:

just visited their site

Gates open for competitors from 5pm

Scrutineering from 5pm until 7.30pm (unless 200 car quota filled before 7.30pm)

Racing from 6pm until 10pm

Gates open for spectators at 5pm

Entry: Spectators $20

Children under 12 admitted free

Competitors: $50

im in blacktown and nothing here ...... slight drizzle in the morning but now its fine .... very cloudy though

same here its a bit over cast but still no rain so looks like its still on!! :toast:

      Touchscreen unit for 2012 Aurion Sportivo zr6 cost

      Actually I made a mistake. It's an SX6 not ZR6 so yes it has the correct touchscreen in the boot but I still have to get it installed and the aftermarket one removed.

      Touchscreen unit for 2012 Aurion Sportivo zr6 cost

      I have found an Aurion 2012 sportivo zr6 model which will make a nice daily driver. Problem is the original touch screen centre unit is missing and has been replaced with some large aftermarket touchscreen that pairs with your phone. The seller showed me the original touchscreen in the boot which he says can be re-installed quite easily. Problem is the "original" touchscreen in the boot is a basic one from an ATX base 2012 model rather than the sportivo model which is far more comprehensive and includes GPS etc. The car is priced quite cheaply in accordance with it's condition. Does anyone know approx how much I will be up for the purchase of the proper replacement touchscreen unit including installation? Thanks in advance 🙂 I'm a Ford/Holden diehard who happens to love Aurions. My other car is a VF SSV and my previous car was an XR6 Turbo but I still love these Aurions...very underrated car indeed.

      Concerns about Fuel Consumption in Kluger Hybrid

      I have a 2022 Kluger that started with a higher consumption but after about 1000+ km, has settled in to around 6.6-6.7 l/100km on journeys, covering up and down steep passes, and a range of conditions. I occasionally use E10 but use 95 when I can find it, along with 98. I drive to enjoy it (within the law!), so I'm not always feathering the throttle. With nudge bar, lights and roof racks, I haven't noticed an appreciable difference, the only situation that really knocked the consumption around was towing a dual axle trailer from Wollongong to SW Sydney which sent the consumption sky-rocketing due to the wind resistance of the load.

      New owner 2024 Prado questions

      Hi All, I have a 2024 Prado Altitude and so far its a great upgrade from my old 1999 Holden Frontera (which is still going strong and will remain my "Bunnings Car") Couple of questions Im hoping those allot smater than me may be able to assist with .....and yes ive read both 300 page books but cant seem to find an answer Sometimes when I lock the car it gives multiple beeps and flashes and sometimes it only gives one beep; what do the multiple beeps mean please Is there any way to remove the Cruise Control icon from the display. I can cycle through Adaptive to normal Cruise, but I cant get it to simply disappear Lastly, Theres an odd looking slot on the RHS just down from the steering wheel. It looks like its for business cards but surely in this day cars dont offer business card holders.......or do they Thats it Thanking you in advance David

      Selling my 1972 Landcruiser FJ Pickup

      How to permanently turn-off lane assist

      I have a new 2024 RAV4 Hybrid and the lane assist function is driving me nuts when driving on poor country roads. I've worked out how to turn most of the other annoying alarms off but this one is very persistant. Does any body know if there is a way to permanently turn this function off? Maybe even by pulling a fuse? I was about to buy the new Prado but backed out for the same reason and I'm now putting money into my old Landcruiser. thanks Phil
