Is anyone here running any TRD iridium spark plugs, heat range IK-20 or IK-22, in their Sportivo's? If so, how often are they replaced.

Thanks in advance.

forget the hastle and just buy NGK iriduim plugs... better than the Denso (TRD) ones anyway

That said, can anyone tell me the average life expectancy, in km's, for these types of plugs being used in our 2ZZ-Ge engines?

i believe in the service manual, a spark plug change is recommended at 100,000km's (that is of the ones already in there - iridium tipped or whatever)

the NGK iridium plugs are just about as good as you can get..

the standed (denso) plugs should be changed every 20,000 km

i run bosch platinum plugs and i change them at every 8,000 to 10,000 km, but thats because my car likes to stay on the fun side of the rev meter

i would rather change them before they start to wear out and miss fire.. and they only cost about $30 for 4

You might aswell run champion gold's if you're changing plugs that frequently. They give more spark energy than the platinum's and iridiums. $4ea.
