Hi,

After a heavy down pour of rain, I found my driver's side carpet filled with water. - Does anyone know what this could mean?

And how do I fix it?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply, yeah it is a convertible. - I found out from opening the storage area, that my roof drain pipe is disconnected, hence the water was able to flow into the car!!

Has anyone experienced this before ? I am intending to use a waterproof glue...

There is a big discussion on this topic on the MR2 Forum so you may want to have a read of that. http://slender.mine.nu/mr2/default.asp

There is plenty of other MR2 information and details of get togethers for each state. Enjoy the ride.

Mine has a leak on the passengers side so I try to leave the glass out occasionally and to apply some sort of preservative to the rubber like Armour All.

if ur spyder's still under warranty..i'd go back to Toyota and get them to fix it..i don't think glue will work on a convertible

thanks for that - where exactly in the forum did they talk about the roof drain leaks? I can't find it!

Sorry. I misread the thread and didn't realise you have a spyder. Most of the problems are with the targa tops and windows. I've had a good, hard look but can't locate the thread I mentioned. :(

I pulled one of these apart last week to find the drain holes clogged with mud, no water was passing through at all..

You have to pull out the entire interior, rear boxes, trims, seatbelts, etc, etc, etc to get to them so it's a royal pain in the *****...

Unblocked the drains and it's as good as new...

I have had some issues with my mr2.

I just need new rubbers. They cost around $ 60 - $70

It takes about 3 weeks to order in, but i have just been lazy. So when it rains i just drive the Corolla.
