Stay in gear till max power is reached... i think on the celica's it was around 5,400rpm and then shift and then it lands on max torque then stretch the gear till max power again.

yeah thats pretty much where i shifted, bloody crap 5sfe. i am bringing it to the track in a few weeks to have a good run on my new tyres, how long you reckon the brakes will last before they become too hot to be effective?

Posted

hahah ur taking it to the track???

id rather not lol... ud most likely be pulling 16.8 at the best if u got no mods lol.... thats if ur drag racing lol.

i had to change the brakes on mine as soon as i bought it because once u start to brake alot, the brakes finish so quickly.

and the discs on them are **** too.

if ur talking bout circuit racing, then put some nice pads on there and run them in properly, and then race or ull be stopping halfway on the track with ur handbreak because ur discs will be onfire hahaha

yeah im circuit racing on hidden valley, na ill see how the stockies go, im gonna let rip on the track tho, i have saved enough for the price of new brakes for afterwards and also it has a new set of goodyear eagle f1 i would like to put to the limit, last time i went i had the goodyears on the front only, and ****ty eco tyres on the back, even on the streets the back came loose so easily lol.

lol, best challenge in my celica was to rip 3rd's lol...

it had a madddd assss slipping clutch lol so i tryed to rip 3rds and one day i managed it lol

from trying so many times i made the clutch so much more worse.
