Well I have always been a fan of the Celica Group A GT4's. Both the ST185 and ST205 models. I can't decide which model I want to get. I mean these cars are sex on wheels. I always liked the ST185 Group A GT4, but the ST205 model is growing on me.

You have th St185 model here:

...and the ST205 model:

http://www.geocities.com/crazy_gt4/1001.html

I know there hard to come by, but I want to get one. I love the pop up lights on the ST185, but then I love the ST205 as it looks like a beast.

If you guys had a choice between the two, which model Group A GT4 would you go with. ST185 or the ST205'?

Videos Like this make me want to get the ST205...

Personally I would get the 205, looks better in my opinion, newer, nicer interior, less common, and if your get a group a :D :D :D

the 185 is getting old and showing its age, hard to find one in really good nick too

but just remember, 3sgte = $$$$$ in both maintenance and mods

yeah I love my popup lights also... But also agree and confirm that when it comes to keeping the 3sgte healthy it can cost some dollars. The engine is so tightly packed that mechanics have a hard time getting to vital components, in my case I'm changing a whole of seals in my 3sgte but since the engine is such a prick to work on I'm upgrading components like the clutch, shocks, etc as it would be cheaper than booking it in for that single item to be serviced... But after all that they're a pleasure to drive .. Naturally I have a bias to the ST185 also

St185 all the way mate. Its just got so much style and those pop up head lights :yahoo: But i drive a 162 so that kinda steers me towards the ST185.... oh and if anyone has a 185 and doesn't want the hood.... will it fit on a 162??

Hmm I'm thinking an ST185 with an ST205 motor.... As much as I would love to work this car and make it look nice. I would most likely leave it stock as a rock.

no, bonnet won't fit

i still have my st162

blown up a gen2 3sgte twice

personally i like the shape of the 162 better over the 185

but the 205 is just sexy with the right mods

remember that the 205 is more powerful, more refined and newer, i must stress, its newer

I see why. Man the front of your car is a beast..I love the front bar...looks like a beast. The only let down are the rims. But I guess the less attention the better. It's too bad you never see a group a st185 or st205 in the auto salon.

Ouch blown up twice.. how? Bet its those freaking bearings i know a few people to have probs with them. I have already had my 3sge pulled apart and rebuilt to last a bit longer. new valve spings, Pistons, Cams ect ect, Not cheap but reliable isn't cheap.
