Mmmm...over-processed dry noodles with msg / sodium packed sachet goodness.

Nothing says "YOU WILL BE FARKING THIRSTY AND HAVE A HEADACHE! ...yet greatly satisfied." like a packet of Mi Goreng noodles.

Seriously, there is something more 'asian' about mi goreng noodles than maggi (as an example). I cant quite put my finger on it.

For those at home, without any form of cooking prowess, I suggest the following.

-Boil a packet or 2 of plain Mi Goreng noodles (disregard any sauce it comes with).

-While that is boiling, get out some oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey... and a bit of hot water

-Mix enough to dress your noodles - be sparing with the sesame oil - a few drops will do. If you want it thicker, more oyster sauce. Thinner, pour in some hot water. If too salty, add a bit of honey. Too sweet, more soy sauce.

-Cool, you now have basic sauce and some mi goreng.

If you really want to go upmarket, then blanch some bok choy and serve with - or even more upmarket, bring home some BBQ pork...

Thats Leroy's contribution to the culinary world - with Mi Goreng and sauces that should be lurking at the back of your pantry somewhere...
