Is this wear ok? Engine has only done about 65,000 km

Now dont quote me on this, but from what I hear that wear is normal, but if you run your finger across it and can feel it, its not. Yeah might want to ask someone else.

Haha your pedal look like mine (stock) now ;)

Update.

Hey all.

Worked on the car abit today.

Installed the Hondata heat shield intake manifold gasket that I've had lying around for yonks lol..

Also did the throttle body coolant bypass mod

While the intake manifold was off I cleaned up the inside of the manifold a bit and sanded down the casting imperfections near the head side of the runners.

Took the throttle body off and cleaned it thoroughly with some carby cleaner

Also intake valves looked clean so am pretty happy :)

After fanging the car for a bit, both mods seem to make a little difference.

Although the intake manifold was still warm, it wasn't nearly as hot as what the valve cover felt like.

Biggest surprise was the the throttle body. Was still cold and so was my intake piping near it. Normally both would be quite hot to touch.

We shall see how well the Hondata gasket holds up.

PS. Does anyone know if not having the triangle bracket (one at the right top near the runner closest to the tb) will cause unwanted stress on the bolts and nuts on the manifold?

Hey Andy,

just a question, when you took off the rocker cover at the start of this page, did you need to reseal it when you put it back on?

New gaskets?

Car looks very hot, it makes me feel mine isn't low enough :( but that can change easily enough

Nah i didn't reseal it. Same ol' gasket as well. I just put a little bit of oil on it to make the seal sit right.

Funnily enough I want to raise the height of my car but I guess everyone loves the height too much :P

I wanted to raise it coz I have difficulty driving most places lol. But I think I'll just stick to this height :P

My next proper mod is sitting in customs waiting for me :(

That's all for now ;)

oh yes boy!!! that looks boss! everyone will think your turbo coming from behind tho lol

Hahah I know what you mean lol. But eventually needed a water temp gauge because when I get a Power FC my temp gauge on the cluster won't work so it's all in preparation B)

Thems there nice lookin gauges!

So whats next, new clutch?

I sure hope I don't need a new clutch already. Only had this one for about 9000km LOL.

Aaron you'll know when I get it. Plus you'll be very jealous too i think :P
