so u cant get the headers without trading ur old ones in? why is that? just asking

Steve,

SB mentioned it in his post http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...st&p=242793 2zz headders are hard to get here in aus.

yerh i seen that corey its hard to get but why cant we keep them? i dont get it lol sorry =]

ps. what would they do with our stock headers then?

CES must be low on headers. They basically port and polish the stock headers and give them a hpc coating.

And we pay $500 for it hehe

Excatly what he said. He is basically taking the stock headers and port, polish, coat it with really cool heat protecting bla bla bla (this is where i fell asleep, sorry Trev. Not taht mechanically minded) ......... all in all, damn awesome .... oh, once you install the CES headers, u can don't put the heat shield back on as it would look better without it. Furthermore, the headers already coated with some heat resistent ................... u get the drift...

What ever he said. If just headers without the exchange program then it will cost $900 as mentioned here http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...15738&st=50 :D

Ok Spoke to CES today. Deal is they will do a group buy in all items if they have orders of at least 5 in that item.(1ZZ/2ZZ cat backs are classed as same item even though different diameter pipes. Pipe bender is still set up the same.)

The 2ZZ headers will be on their exchange basis only as 2ZZ headers are very hard to find.

The package(CAI,headers and cat back) for those who don't know is $100 cheaper than buy all items separately.

If you choose to go ahead with the group buy and are happy with the prices I am given next week a 50% deposit will be needed by a date yet to be set - no exceptions.

So if you are genuinely interested then add your name to the item you want and next week I will have some prices of what everything will cost.

Cheers SB

So there isn't a discount on the package because the package is already a discount ???

They make Christmas ornaments out of them lol Nah seriously if you want to keep you stock headers then the price you pay for the CES ones will be more expensive as you are not doing them on an exchange basis. 2ZZ headers are very hard to find and to buy new from toyota are very expensive so the price of the headers from CES will go up big time. If you send them your stock ones back they can keep the price at what it is. Also the price of getting stuff HPC coated has jumped up a lot in the last 12 months too.

Yeah I've read on other threads that it's up to 4kw more than the TRD one and I believe "you get what you pay for", hence why I'll happily sell the TRD CAI i just bought heheh if this GB goes ahead :yahoo:

Haha, but i can't justify paying few extra hundred just to get what mine does right now.. use that money for some bars :P

a potential 3kW difference could cost you an arm & leg (length i mean) ................ you sure???

Yep go get a nice 23mm Rear sway bar firstly to upgrade the 19mm stock one on the 2ZZ.

Then see how it handles, save up for coilover too :yahoo:

TRD CAI was $335 single purchase for vic postage in the last GB. I'm awaiting for it to arrive.

CES is $500 lol. I'm just going off what a few people with CES CAI said when they went dyno with other cars with CAI.

We dynoed the TRD CAI on my car then fitted the CES one and re dynoed the car after we let the car run for about 30 mins to get used to the difference in CAI set ups. The results are as Trevor has told those who have called him about it. Northy changed his CAi from TRD to CES and so did quite a few others. Gains were definately there.

If you price a TRD CAI as a single purchase they can almost be the same price as the CES CAI. Pics of catback under the car are my old Sportivo.

For those who are attending the National Meet all of the above will be on display for all to look at and drool over.

yer probly like 1-2kw difference? lol =P but eh in the end its not about the dyno is it ;D take it to the 1/4 mile drags!! =D and all engines are different etc etc...

but hey in the end a cai is a cai its about the sound for me and the bling factor *TRD* =]

Im tempted to sell my injen CAI just to complete my CES set :P

I have to say, I got rid of my AEM and swapped it for a CES and the difference is amazing. I think the CES on a standard car would be ok, but the pipe diameter would probably be too big.

But, matched with the CES exhaust as well, its just incredible. Much more midrange torque which is nice.

I think the CES exhaust needs toe 3" intake as the 2.75" intakes dont do it justice.

Do it Alex!!

Just wandering, what does CES CAI has the TRD CAI doesn't? There is an increase in KWs so just makes me curious.
