Engine removal
Hello, very new to the group and hope someone can help me. I need to pull the engine out of my 2008 Kluger to replace the rear main seal and reseal sump and front timing cover. Has anyone pulled the engine out from the top? Have watched videos showing people taking the engine from the top in the Camry 2GR. Similar? Thanks in advance -

Multiple electrical issues just started 2013 Hilux KUN26R
Hi everyone, I was hoping someone could offer some suggestions as to things to check whilst I wait for the second auto electrician appointment next week. My 2013 Hilux SR5 (KUN26R) a week ago developed the following 3 electrical problems at the same time; - When driving, the Head unit (radio etc) goes on and off, more so when going over rough road, but does this consistently on any journey - Will not start on first crank when it's been sitting for some time. Always starts on second crank. - Sometimes, the engine warning light and traction control light stay on after starting the vehicle. This happens say, 1 in 5 starts. The battery has just been replaced and the car checked by the local auto electrician. They used their ODB II diagnosis tool and it shows no errors. Prior to the battery being replaced, the ODBII tool reported a P0560 (low system voltage). This no longer comes up. No errors come up when the above symptoms occur. Any ideas of what to look for? Thanks in advance. -

OK, I've had a better look at the existing plug, and it does look like a coax type, sorta. If it is then I fear you are stuffed, as the coax is used for the video and the DC power, but requires circuitry at each end to separate the video from the power, which the new head unit won't have. You might just have to use the new camera. Sorry. PS The colours I mentioned, previously were for a display unit that has two video inputs, which are one each of the white and yellow wires. Herb -

Real Vs Fake "OEM" parts
I bought a case of filters from LSI the other day, with eBay Plus discount it came down to ~$9.50 a filter (these were YZZE2 ones though so smaller/cheaper than the ones for Aurions etc) -

Thanks for your reply herb, the cable looks to be only one wire but if I strip it back it could possibly be more wires inside this cable. I would definitely consider splicing but like you said the wiring could all be different from Toyota is there a way of working out specifically which wire is which once I’ve splice the cable ? -

Real Vs Fake "OEM" parts
It's not too bad a deal Ash, but buying from an overseas seller is still cheaper. I recently purchased 2 more cases from the U.S. with shipping and tax for just on $255 AUD. The catch here is that you need to find a listing that has favourable shipping costs. Some U.S. sellers have shipping double their counterpart, which also makes me question the validity of some shipping quotes. Sometimes you get high item price but low shipping, other times it's low item price and high shipping. I try to find one in between to make it more economically viable, which in my case, I did luckily enough. LSI come in at $177 for one case, after discount with free local shipping. Two cases would be $354.
