Hey mate, I don't have a WRC (lucky guy :P) but I do have a '91 5sfe. The only way you can tell is by opening up the headlight and looking at the bulb. I changed my globes a little while back and happen to have a stock one in front of me. It's a H4 12V 60/55W. As I remember that's what you need to look for (the colour - yellow or white - is irrelevant in determining the specs, unless you want to upgrade to HID or something).

In any case, head down to autobarn or something and ask them to look it up for you. At roughly $90 for a set with 2 matching sidemarker globes, they'll be happy to tell you what gear you need.

Installing / removing is pretty straightforward, it's all in the manual. I'd be glad to help out if you get stuck!

Good luck.

Well there's two options. You currently have your stock yellowish halogens and you want to change the colour to white. You can do like I did and simply buy some white halogens that are a straight DIY drop-in, or you can get your headlights converted from halogen to HID xenon. These produce a very bright white-blue colour (which I personally find annoying at night), but require re-wiring and are consequently much more expensive. I don't know much about HID conversions, though I think there's some threads over in the workshop / inside & out areas on the forum that should be able to give you more information.

If you go for the white halogens, then yes the specs listed is what you're looking for (assuming the '91 sx / '93 wrc headlights are the same. They should be). Any auto shop will hook you up with some no worries if you just tell them the model/year of your car.

Hope that clarifies!

Was thinking the same thing about my girlfriends car last night :P While I'm sure it's not impossible, I don't the effort would be worth the end result.

Your easiest way of getting whiter and brighter headlights is to install Phillips Crystalvision H4 bulbs. They aren't cheap, but much cheaper than getting a decent set of HID's. It's also a plug and play conversion.

I had HID's in my GT4 and they werent overly hard to put in. Mind you thats with an engine bay cramped as hell.

Take the time to assess how your gonna attack it then go for it.

thanks for the info guys, atleast im a bit enlighten now lol..

yeah i think i already had white halogen light, and i think what im after was the HID one..

however il consider Phillips Crystalvision H4 bulbs as well, il read around and see how much and hard to install difference is then il go from there

i will update this post tho cheers

Installing replacement H4's is a peice of ***** where as installing HID's is a whole new ball game.

Goodluck though
