squeaky gear box

hey guys just wondering ive been driving my car for a while and just notice that.. when i stop at the lights.

1st gear makes a squeaky sound each time i change it to 1st gear only..

does ne1 know reason y?

I've only briefly noticed this in mine as well, its not like full loud, but if you try to listen for it, or move the stick too far in 1st gear direction you can hear it, not all the time, i try to avoid it cause i can't stand sqeakiness <_<

yea i get the same thing.. you can really hear it when the windows are open..

it bugs me... i'v changed oil already, and it still makes the sound.. it seems to be getting louder, or maybe i'm noticeing it more..

anyone know whats wrong??

yeh i just pump up my music so i cant notice the sound :D but its get annoying time to time

Lubricate the shifter cables and cradle in the console.
