I just picked up a set of 205/50 R16 87W tyres from an ebay seller last night.

guy works at Dunlop melbourne plant and has been selling cheap tyres off the cuff for a while.

100% guaranteed.

i paid $400 for the set. he's got another 6 tyres left for anyone on stock rims that wants new tyres.

And pitty he is in melb and wont post, i wouldve been interested. Im in two minds of tyre brand, either Toyo Proxes T1R in 205/50/R16 or Marangoni Verso in same size both around the $200 mark.

These tyres are not bad all round, though they turn to ***** once they get pretty hot. I remember on the wisemans cruise those last round abouts there was no traction watsoever, at any speed.

Whats the manufacture date on the tyres? Age plays a huge role in how much grip is available.
