Do you want a 1ZZ-FE (SX) or a 2ZZ-GE (ZR)? The latter will be more expensive, though I don't know how much.

Eh? I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as a 1ZZ-FE in the AUDM 7th generation Celicas, SX or otherwise...

In Australia, the Celica was only offered with 2ZZ-GE engine...

My bad, you are 100% correct.

Generally, I wouldn't trust wikipedia  but it is correct on this occasion.

What's your location? In Sydney there's a place in Villawood, on River Drive near the Woodville Rd ramp that fits import Jap engines with low kms. I know they'll do a 6th gen so assume they can source a 7th gen as well. I was quoted $2,500 for a new engine including installation. (Oddly enough a recondition of the existing engine also costs $2,500.)

why not be different and try a 3S-GTE (ST215) from Caldina unless you Celica's build date is 1999 then ST205 :D ... hehe :P

could've would've sohuld've but i wouldn't need that much lol..

so i'd rather stick with the same type of engine, rather spending alot more...

ain't going to race or what's so ever.. :P

I like your taste, but these are incredibly expensive (supply/demand). You'll need to get it imported. You'll also have to look into the transmission since yours might not bolt up, as well as the possibility of some custom fabrication. You'd be looking closer to $5-7k than $2k.

BEAMS = RWD. Not gonna bolt up (box should, mounts won't). If anything, just get a later generation 3S-GE, or even go a 3S-GTE.

a 3sge is a 3sge beams or not blocks the same (externally atleast) so if you can find a 3s in a front driver you can put a 3s beams in a front drive

(imagine that an sv21 with a beams engine in it (wat a waste))
