I want to put a bullbar but Hilux Accessories are hard to find on this tiny island in the Caribbean. We do import a lot from USA, but Hilux is unknown in the USA. The only thing I found in USA is te bedcover since the manufacture cover the Mexican market as well.

Modifications done:

  • Toyota OEM Side Steps
  • Toyota OEM Fog Lights
  • 16" SR5 Special Edition Rims
  • Mastercarft Courser AWT 245/65 R16
  • Chrome Bumper
  • Black Vinyl Bed Cover

The main issue is that here where I live the local Toyota Dealer imports only Toyota Hilux in Diesel (2.5 & 3.0) from Argentina and since I hate Diesel, I did placed a special order: Gasoline BUT it was only available in 2.7 VVT-i (no V6) which took 10 monts to arrive. and due to the huge price difference of 6,000.00 US Dollar between the simple DX version and the SR5 version (with chrome bumper, side step, fog lights etc...) I did order the DX version and I did he following:

I changed the black step-bumper to the flat chrome (SR5) bumper, added the side steps, added the fog lights with it's original switch on the steerin and I did buy the truck without its rims and wheels... in stead I mounted these original SR5 wheels which I did import from another island.

This is a general diagram, there is no distinction between models of 4x2, 4x4, single cab, double and extra cab, right- and left hand steering wheel, and in its various engine (2.0 VVT-i, 2.7 VVT-i, 4.0 V6 VVT-i, 2.5 D-4D, 3.0 D-4D and 3.0 D ECD).

This chart is divided into 4 parts:

1. - Tool / Engine / Fuel

2. - Powertrain / Chassis

3. - Body

4. - Electrical

PS: This chart has exactly 560 images.
