Gearbox Woes

it sounds as though the gear selector cable is out of adjustment. there's a cable going from the gear selector assembly to the auto gear box to determine what mode of drive is selected. obviously, it's out by 1-2 clicks. if you're not confident in adjusting it, then it wouldn't take a mechanic long to do it.

Its not the gear selector cable, i can put the lever into the r range, it feels like it is engaging and then there is no drive in reverse, also in neutral the gear is still slightly engaged, because if you try to push backwards when in neutral you can feel the gears engaged.
