My new Kluger Grande is GREAT...I love driving it and everything about is is pretty good. There are some very minor issues which I have been able to "adjust" to (e.g. parking footbrake takes a while to get used to ).

There is, however, one very trivial thing (trivial in the whole scheme of things, that is) that just drives me nuts.....it seems that Recirculated Air comes on by default. Unless I want recirculated air on (like when I'm driving in the smog tunnel they call the M% East tunnel) then I want it off without having to press the button to do so. When I select Auto aircon it comes on, and that's fine as it's trying to cool down to the temperature that I have selected. But even when I turn it off, it comes back on next time I start up the car.

Any solutions??

It comes on to reach preset temperature faster.

Once teperature is close to desired recirculation it will switch automatically off.

On normal day it goes of in 1-2 minute. Very hot day up to 5 minutes.

I dont see why is that issue.........most of other brands with full climate control do the same.

Solution..........Dont use Auto mode.

I my case, it comes on sometimes, not in the Auto mode (not used it yet), for instance when the sunroof is up.

And that makes the airflow much louder at road speed.

The annoying bit is the kick-down to 3rd, on the uphill, when 4th does it nicely on the S setting.

I understand and would expect it to come on during auto mode...that's not what I'm annoyed about...I'm annoyed that it switches to recirculated mode when i turn the engine on, even if the fan is not running.

I also have a 2008 Grande...it does the same. Anyone who says that's a good thing has not encountered the problem, or is unsure of what cools down quicker. For those who think this is a good idea, imagine this, you get in your 60-70 deg Celsius car that has sat in the sun all day and it's 35 degrees outside, this smart car says I want to recirculate the 60-70 degrees instead of the 35 degrees outside- stupid. This is in Manual or Auto (remembering MAN/AUTO is for fan speed only- not temperature as some have eluded to). My wife and I try to remember this little design defect and quickly DESELECT recirculation. Should I find a fix for this I shall post..

My KXS does the same thing everytime you start the car the recirclation comes on. I dont know why they designed it that way who knows . The last thing you want on a hot day is recirculated hot air.

When the auto funtion is on it sounds like jumbo jet about to take off . the fan is to noisy.

Maybe I should of put that in my Topic DESIGN THE NEXT KLUGER.
