in a weeks tym i will be getting the new corolla conquest 2005.

i'm pretty much a n00b to cars...

i'm in sydney and i was wondering how do i improve the performance of the car.

i don't want to over do it...maybe just exhaust and add a pod filter in it but then in

other forums people say that pod filters aren't that good...so..i'm pretty confused since i'm a n00b...

also with the new car...is it good to rev it while its below 2000km?

or is that bad? cos my friend said its good for some cars...

thanks :D

Have a look at my Conquest to give you an idea what can be done whilst keeping it all subtle.

Short Ram Pod Filters aren't too good because they suck in hot air from the engine bay unless you have a heat shield for it, Cold Air Intakes ( With a pod filter attached to the end are better ), Or you can just get a washable replacement filter, BMC, K&N, Toms, etc for your standard filterbox as I have done as a cheaper alternative.

Best thing to do when running in a car is to vary the revs. Don't redline it, however don't be too soft on it either, just drive it normally. Just don't do nothing but highway driving when running in.
