Strange Noise

before i come to a complete stop whilst braking, theres a clonk noise that can be heard from inside the cabin by the passengers. theres the slightest shudder and feels as though something is loose.

what can this be ?

should i go get it checked by toyota since the car is under warranty ?

the model of my corolla: early 2008 zre152r hatch

EDIT: it doesnt happen all the time but most of the time

Get it checked out by toyota. Judging by some of the threads on here looks like toyota likes playing the blame game.

hopefully they find the problem, feels like the car is falling apart.

Try and figure out under what conditions it's most likely to occur so you can get it to fault with the mechanic.

yeah im trying to suss that out atm, hopefully all goes well...

or better idea, take it to the dealership and let them figure the problem out

itd be easier on you if it fell apart while they were trying to find whats wrong with it

long as you give a good enough description, they should be able to make it happen when they road test it

edit- assuming the service department is attached to the dealership, of course

sounds like the auto gear box doing a bad gear change down. that happens to me when i leave it in 2 when i slow down some times.

nah its not the gearbox cos that thing that you just described is apparently normal according to the service department.

its something to do with the axle or somewhere close to it. ill take it to the dealership soon...
