I am reliably informed that the radar is capable of taking the reading as the police car is driving along.

The radar gun is able to calculate your speed relative to theirs on a on coming direction. Simple Physics/Math

Not only can he read your speed, but they can pinpoint exactly which car is speeding in the group

I'm pretty sure they need to lock on to you for a minimum of 3 seconds for the reading to be used to book you.. ;)

yeah i think thats right, you have to hold the radar on the car for a few seconds. ive used the radar at a training program i did a few years ago.

it happened to me, he was stationed at the other side of the road, over a hill, no idea how he got my speed and booked me, asked for camera reading proof he didnt give it to me!
