eviltwin 5 Report post Posted December 27, 2011 Well finally an update! I got the car Registered last week ( Toyota Car Club of Victoria Club Registration ) . It means i can still drive it 90 days a year but only costs $120 for a year. Got loads of stuff happening on her but it's just bloody nice to able to roll around in it again.. i can't believe how much ive missed it and am stoked with how well the smallport pulls! Today i threw on some TRD leads i bought off a mate , ive also put a pod on it as the airbox just looks untidy to me.. sounds heaps better with some induction to! Also took a snap of the Series I Twincam Radio i scored from a good mate Ben , If anyone remebers a white series I Twincam called "OSO-DVS" thats where the decks from! Also put a TRD gearknob in as i don;t want to ruin my original leather wrapped Twincam Gearknob. Heres some pictures and i'll be updating much more very soon! Cheers, Mick

Kevsta 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2011 As said before, never ever sell those roh casino's and never park too close to the kerb. I was after a set back in '92 and couldn't find them then.Nice ae82 twin cams are so rare these days... I wish I kept mine.
eviltwin 5 Report post Posted January 1, 2012 Cheers guys , i'll be trying to make it to the TCCV meet but ive got a bucks night Saturday so hopefully im in the condition to drive it over haha! The Casinos will never go , i also had a set of Zender Turbos but sold them due to finding these.. from speaking to a few people they were bought new in the 80's and fitted to a red twincam that was destroyed a couple of years ago and sold to a mate of mine who then sold them to another bloke that i got them from. Unfortunatly there are some marks on the wheels after 20+ years of fitment on a car , but overall they are in good condition! I used some Meguiars Trim Restorer on all of the black plastic parts like the hatch spoiler and it came up a treat!
juvenile 102 Report post Posted January 1, 2012 Oh man you had Zender turbo's too?? Could never find them years ago, these styles were made for AE82's and BMW E21 & E30 I bought the last brand new set in Sydney in the mid to late 90"s, not too sure when, but mine had the smooth centre cap, no lock and no ROH stamped on caps.. mine This white one is perfect
eviltwin 5 Report post Posted January 1, 2012 Oh they look so awesome on your GTI Juvenile! could you post up / send me some more photos of the GTI? I wonder when they changed the design of the centre caps? Where did yours go?
eviltwin 5 Report post Posted January 1, 2012 The Turbos were in poor condition and were painted black and on a gemini , i picked them up really cheap but let them go also due to the fact that they were a really crazy low offset and in a 15X7
juvenile 102 Report post Posted January 1, 2012 They were pretty fat for it alright.. Sorry about poor quality, I've hundreds of pics with different rims but these are the only Casino ones I have... This was all pre-stance pre-digital pre-everything really Sold them to Jason in 01 I think but way before his FXGT came along, I used to run fronts only for a while, you know the look ;)
eviltwin 5 Report post Posted January 1, 2012 I can't believe how good they look on a GTI .. gobsmacked to say the least! From speaking to Jas im fairly sure he has had a couple of sets over the years. Love the look of just running them on the front thats just awesome! eviltwin 5 Report post Posted January 17, 2012 Guys been quite flat out latley but have a couple of more little bits done. Found some really good black paint that gives that nice OEM look , not to shiny not to matt or dull , self priming etc for ease of application. Painted up the battery clamp , some factory dealer option eyebrows and my new intake i bought from Blind Kid Seeks. Really nice intake , well made from a place locally called "AVO" , formally was on Bway's Racecar. More soon! Cheers

eviltwin 5 Report post Posted February 14, 2012 Hey guys , bit of an update. After ages and ages ive found a really clean rear louvre made by Aunger for the car. Really sets off that 80's styling on her! Ive also found a clean rear parcel shelf without the usual speaker holes so that was a good find also! The louvre didn't come with it's clips so a trip to the Pick-a-part later and i have a full set plus some spares to clean up and use. Also spent quite some time with some Meguiars Trim Restorer on the louvre and it's cleaned it up more than what i thought possible and looks brand new! My Momo steering wheel will be up for sale very shortly including the Boss kit and TRD gearknob as ive sourced a really clean Twincam wheel and Knob! Also in the process of replacing the heater control assembly as some of the rear parts on it where broken causing the switches to be very difficult to operate. It's quite a lengthy process as they are such a brittle item, but it's going to be so much better once it's all done!!

ben yip 21 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 (edited) very similar to this, a chevrolet wheel holden, before the HSV making Holden now, 20-30 years ago, there was another company to replace HSV (I forgot the name), and here it comes with Chevrolet wheels Edited April 12, 2012 by ben yip
Hiro 298 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 very similar to this, a chevrolet wheel holden, before the HSV making Holden now, 20-30 years ago, there was another company to replace HSV (I forgot the name), and here it comes with Chevrolet wheels They are the wheels off the HDT VE Commodores, which were a tribute/throwback to the VK SS Group A (aka the Blue Meanie). They then got used on a couple of special edition Retro models, which is what the ute above appears to be
mick.wheelz 84 Report post Posted April 12, 2012 they look similar to the 'saw blade' wheels used on 80's corvettes.
