I have ordered a spoiler for my Presara and was wondering what is the easiest method to disable the stop light in the back window. As the spoiler already has LED stop lights, I don't want the existing back window stop lights to come on - I think it will look a bit funny with two stop lights on top of each other when looking from the back of the car.

Thanks in advance for any advice! :D :D

The easiest way is the most obvious... unplug it.

The connector will most likely be underneath the parcel shelf. You may be able to access it through the boot.

Thanks guys - I'll check to see whether the plug is easily accessible from the boot. Just hope I don't have to remove the back seat to get to it.

Cheers.

At worst, you would only have to remove the parcel shelf. The parchel shelf however can be removed without having to remove the rear seat.

Thanks Daryl, thats comforting to know that I can remove the parcel shelf without having to remove the back seat.

i think you should keep it plugged in - could be handy for truck drivers who may not be able to see the brake lights on your spoiler itself (highly unlikely but it adds more distraction ahead for them to be alert i suppose?)

Thanks for the tip, fortunately, the routes that I normally use does not have too many trucks so I think I am okay. However, it only takes ONE truck!!! :( :( :(

You have to push the brake assy towards the back window and then lift it upwards... It clips in from the top...

Pull it out, disconnect the wire and clip the light assy back into the parcel shelf :) ...

Thanks Rolla Boy, I'll give it a try tonight and let you know.

Cheers
