Just bought my 1987 Celica. It needs an engine o/h. It came with no battery, when I put one in the doors locked with the keys still in ignition. I cant open it with a coathanger, any ideas?? :( :(

A brick and some force will do...

Or a locksmith?

yep do that... or try all of your keys... because the older toyotas had pretty bad security in terms of the key design. i remembered i put in house key into an old celica and it opened like an overpaid prostitute.

:) Got it open with coathanger on the hatch release. Only took 6 frickin hours. Now to fix load tap in the top end. **** that cam chain cover looks a real bitch to remove.
