Anyone knows if EBC Red stuff is available on Camry 06 ACV40R. RDA told me the pad hasn’t been introduced to Australia yet. Dose the Australia build Camry use the same pad as the American build Camry or any other model?

P.S Am going to put DBA 4000SX on the car.

Any suggestions of aftermarket options?

What exactly do you plan on doing to your Camry? Just be aware that the 4000 Series XS DBA rotors are specified for street use only, which is probably most likely due to the higher chance of the rotor cracking.

For everyday street use on the I4, Redstuff would be a bit of overkill, but each to their own really. It's your money you're spending and your rotors you will be ultimately wearing. Using a harsh pad on an expensive special order only rotor isn't something I would consider doing if it was only for street use.

Edited: But anyways, the American Gen 6 I4 and V6 Camry uses Akebono callipers and has a different brake pad design to the Australian spec Gen 6 Camry which uses PBR callipers like the Aurion. EBC currently only have Redstuff pads available for the Akebono callipers and are therefore only suitable for the American Camry's.

If I was to provide a recommendation, if you want a pad with some decent bite that is much better than OEM, but not overkill, then QFM HPX pads would be the way to go. These pads are available for $79 per axle (plus shipping) and are considered to be on the same level (said to be even better) than the EBC Greenstuff. Reference numbers use Bendix product numbers which is DB1474 for the front and DB1475 for the rear.

Alternatively if you really want that performance, QFM have a pad that is called 'A1RM'. This pad compound rivals the EBC Redstuff and is considerably cheaper at $119 per axle (plus shipping). My initial comments about a harsh pad as stated in my second paragraph apply here as well. Would need to give GSL Rallysport a call first to enquire about the availability of this pad as when I last called (last week) it was currently on backorder.

Daryl I think you are incorrect as the US/Japan/SE Asia gen 6 Camry/Asian Camry (Aurion body) uses Akebono calipers and the AUS Camry/Aurion uses PBR calipers the pads are different and also the park brake is different.

Sorry. That was my bad. I was saying that under the impression that Bendix properly updates their site with the correct brake pad details. I guess in this case they don't.

Hopefully Toyodiy is more accurate as it shows the code for the pad to be the same, despite different calliper codes (as to be expected).

In that case I will edit my first post accordingly in addition to saying here.

Here is the U.S. pad illustralion. Anyone have a camry pad?

capodien: The US pad profile actually looks more like this:

I've updated my first post, but in general... no you won't find the Redstuff available yet for the PBR calliper that is used on the Aurion and the Australian Gen 6 Camry.

In that case though, elaborate more on your needs so we can provide some more advise. I've already given some in my reply before.

The QFM A1RM pads are good but are very hard on rotors. I had some on my gen 4 Camry with RDA slotted rotors and I got just over 20k out of the pads and rotors. The QFM HPX as Daryl mentioned is a better street pad.

The Bendix site does appear to be a bit inaccurate/misleading at the moment when it come to the AUS gen 6 Camry.
