Best thing to do , purchase a haynes manual for your car and study it accordingly , the best way to start doing things yourself mate!

Agreed, the Gregorys manual goes into sufficient detail to remove the existing factory head unit, and it's got the wiring diagrams so you can wire up an aftermarket one too.

Fairly simple to do actually, you pull the knobs off the HVAC controls (ie the fan speed, temp, recirculator and director), then grasp the panel on the ridge between the top and bottom HVAC controls and pull gently - it should pop off. Once you do that, reach around behind and disconnect the rear demister and hazard swich, and then remove the panel - this will give you access to the bolts holding the head-unit in.

Yeah i picked it up for $200 at JB. LOL i didnt even notice that gap on the right side. yeah i love the USB. beats a dvd unit without a lcd display
