Hi guys, just abou to install new HD head unit. got to the Part where i need to remove the AC controls from the existing head unit. I have removed the bracket screws but the unit doesn't pull away from the AC unit. Is it just clips ? Which way do i pull, out or up. Is there a set of screws i am missing ? The whole dash is disassembled at the moment so anyone who can give me quicj advice is very much appreciated

I had the same trouble when I did my HU. Pulled, pushed, removed screws, the works. Only thing I didn't think of was sliding it sideways. Found it completely by accident after 5 or 10 minutes of sodding about. Boy did I feel like a tw@t!

This took me forever to figure out.. I was lazy and didnt unscrew the two metal brackets that are alongside the headunit. Thus it wouldnt let me slide sideways.

I wedged screwdrivers in between the a/c and the old headunit, I tried pulling as hard as i can, even tried snapping of the square black bracket things. Then I gave in and unscrewed the brackets and realised it slides sideways.

DJKOR i think it would be a good idea to add this tip into your tutorial, as it seams others are having/had the same problem.
