Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone had any hints or tips in getting there Sportivo wheels

squeaky clean from removing the brake dust and grime on the spokes to cleaning the inner rim (inside of wheel).

Perhaps there is a specific product to use which cleans as a spray on, hose off

method ?

Any help and feedback would be great! :D

Use petrol, perhaps diluted and brush it onto the spokes. Then hose off. Petrol removes anything.

Not sure what it'll do to alloys over time though ;)

Lift your car up, remove your wheels and clean them that way, inside and out. Brake pads and all.

Please no petrol.

Yes its gets them clean with minimal effort but over time you could have some issues.

Warm soapy water and some elbow grease is my preffered way (using a different sponge to the one you clean your paintwork with).

Meguiars also have a product called "Hot Rims". You spray it on leave for a minute and then hose off.

You really cant beat the elbow grease though!

Kitten truck wash or kitten wash n wax with a good old fashioned carwash sponge

and do it regularly...

Boys, boys, boys. Want to get your wheels clean? Use a toothbrush!!! Gets into the edges of the spokes and one with softish bristles won't scratch either. To clean behind the spokes use a small sponge with a bug scrubber pad on it and using a couple of fingers poke the sponge throught the spokes and clean the rim either way. Then move up a couple of spokes and do the same. Use your ordinary car wash of your choice should do the trick.
