535F, 545R, you telling me that mm's to your guards?

holy toledo that's low.

whitestivo

Guards to the outer rim diameter. I had Pedders set it at the maximum legal height limit which is 100mm from the lowest point of the vehicle (exhaust piping) to the ground (flat and even surface).

Pedders measure it from the center of the guard to the center bottom of the wheel rim, not to the ground.

Current ride height

i went for less common and harder to find 205/45/17 at 87V.

I have stockies with 205/50/R16 tyres.

205*50 = 10.25cm

so add that to your 530mm, and were about the same, i'd say your less as the tyres belly a little as well. i will check my measurement tonight.

Get some different rims, i'm here to tell you, after running stocks for nearly 3 years, what a huge mistake it was.

16x6 + 45, what the hell where they thinking.

I wanted to buy a mate's TE37s, but found out that fronts where 16s and rears were 17s.

Were you by chance turning left onto Blackburn road from Wellington road last night? I think it was you.

I should measure my height too, although don't think it will be low as you guys. :whistling:

Peter.

Peter.

Mine are 6000K globes - pure white . It may have been either TOYTRD or TRolla (the dude who bought Kolourhero's stivo).

Ah ok. I've seen TOYTRD in the western suburbs a few times and he has gold/bronze rims as I recall. So must have been TRolla (explains the wingtips). Alex loved that car, washing it at least once every week!

Dunno why but theres just something about bonnet struts that are just classy. Nothing new about them (my 20 year old supra has them), but just classy, sure the stick is ever reliable, but oh so undignified.

Car looks nice.

Last night, I got myself into a pickle with a broken bolt and the rest of the thread stuck flushed with the hood. Didn't really feel that I over torqued the bolt that much before it snapped.

Well, today I bought myself a Sutton extractor screw set ($59) along with a small sized adjustable tap wrench ($16) to ease the frustration. Took me less than 10 mins. Just drilled, and popped in the reverse screw extractor and twisted the pos out of its hole.

The stuff

post-14950-128696297939_thumb.jpg

Busted bolt thread inside the hole of the hood. Just finished drilling a hole in it.

Using the T-wrench with the screw extractor which goes in the reverse way of a normal screw. Just wind until the busted bolt comes out.

Here we have it, the busted bolt. I hope my new bolts I ordered from Toyota is of better quality than the ones fitted from South Africa.
