Resetting Factory Car Radio After Battery Disconnect

Blacksheep

Recommended Posts

Hi, can anyone help me with the 3 digit code required for unlocking my radio? I replaced the battery and now can't use the radio! I have tried the last 3 digits of my VIN as suggested in previous posts but no luck.

I have a Corolla Ascent Seca, 2005 manual hatch.

I also found a number stuck on the front of my owners manual: 22255

Tried the last 3 digits of this to no avail. Not sure what this number is, thought maybe it was a serial number??

Thanks heaps! :)

Just bought a 2004 RAV4, battery went flat the next day. Reading the above posts, I thought using the last 3 digits from the VIN would be a long shot. Then I had a look through the user guide (still in with the owners manual and the service book), guess what?  It was already noted in there that the code was the last 3 digits of the VIN. Very happy to have my stero back in action... now I just gotta find some tapes :)

Hey Blacksheep, I followed your advice of holding the Tune button and 1, but nothing happened

I have a 2004 RAV4, so I assumed that it must come with a similar radio model to your own car...it's not resetting, what should I do?
