So Which Toyota Dealers Do Give Good Service?

So after Andy's problem with his service/oil and injector cleaner info it got me thinking that maybe we should have a list of dealers in our areas that people feel do give good service and happy to leave there car with for services/warrenty issues??

who wants to kick it off?

Patterson Cheney Dandenong (Melbourne South-East) for me - I travel over 30 mins to get my Aurion serviced there, but have never had a single issue. They go through great lengths to investigate any issues reported, and follow-up a few weeks later to ensure everything is fixed and working well. To this day my car has dead-on wheel alignment, no rattles at all (after dash clips fitted) and runs smooth as silk. No complaints at all.

I have been to about three dealers and only one i think is ok Stewart Toyota Sutherland.

so far not bad, but then again i never went to the extent to check the oil after service, so i will be sure to check next time.

on another note i highly recommend NRMA service..the one i used was NRMA service in Rockdale..and they only charge $149.

I recommend Clintons Toyota at Narellan, great workshop team. Bit of a trip but worth it for......

When I got my Aurion serviced on the Central Coasti used Jax at Wyong, great price able to speak with the mechanic and flexible timing. Had tried the local Toyota dealer (won't mention) but there were crap to deal with.

I agree, it helps if you have extended family that works there ;)

Even though I dont get my Aurion serviced with them, CO-OP TOYOTA in Hobart get the gong as I had my car booked in 2 weeks in advance for the transmision sevice, they forgot to order pan gasket therefore I had to do it a week later, which I was not happy about. They rectified the problem by doing the sevice FREE of charge. So there are dealers out there who do care about customer service.

For those of us located on the west coast:

if you are chasing toyota genuine parts then i would highly recommend you go and see Rodney (and only Rodney) at Scarboro Toyota Parts.. he has been amazing at ordering all kinds of strange parts i have requested from him... and was even willing to source TRD parts for me if i was willing! plus he gives great prices!!

for servicing: i would recommend city toyota in northbridge... despite the fact that i insisted that they NOT wash my car on three (3) seperate occasions, and they STILL washed the car.. i will go back to them for 2 reasons

1. they were VERY prompt to reply to my complaint that i lodged via email (called me back within a few hours) and i spoke directly to the service manager AND the mechanic who worked on my car, both offered a sincere apology and they have promised me that my car will never be washed through their dealership again unless i tell them to... time will tell if they hold on this..

2. their mechanical service was excellent! i asked for genuine toyota full synthetic oil, they provided mobil1 full syn at the same price. car is running great, and the service was excellent. they arrange a hire car no worries (top of the wozza prius)

so given their faults, i believe their high level of customer service will definately see me back again for my next service :)

Bathurst Toyota service and any warranty claims have been exceptional during the last three years.

They even made time on the last day of warranty to get my car in and replace the faulty drivers HID with only 1 hrs notice, as it wont be covered if not done that day.

They even did it while I waited, that's hard to beat.

I usually take mine to Terry Shields Toyota in Parramatta, they are pretty good.

Stewart Toyota in Rockdale and Sutherland are just as good.

With Sydney City Toyota in Waterloo, they do have good customer service, but i really wouldnt recommend them as i have had alot of problems with them previously...

Well I suppose like all things, there are good and bad dealers. Not only does the dealer, have to be good. Is the mechanic or apprentice working on your car up to it? When it comes to you, your body, your health, many people elect to have private cover so they can select their preferred specialist etc: at that extra cost. So why not without any added costs find a really good mechanic knowing he will be the one doing your work at no extra cost and will most likely be a lot cheaper. I've been using the same mechanic for over 22 years and my only worry is that he might decide to move or retire.

Interesting info on servicing for us West Coasters! If I do get Aurion in September/October, I will go to the Northbridge service centre. One question, no matter where you bought the car from, be it Welshpool (this is where I might get the aurion from hopefully)or Wangara, would it void the warranty with the dealer you bought the car from if it is not serviced at that dealer's garage?

I'm so far under qualified to make a recommendation it's not funny, but thus far I haven't noticed any problems with my servicing (Brisbane) at Southside Toyota - Mount Gravatt. Take that with a grain of salt though since unless the engine falls out of the car or something similar, I probably wouldn't notice :P

If I was to say who gives me a good service, I would say Southside Toyota at Wooloongabba. Definitely better service there than I got at Sci-Fleet Taringa.

This is my personal reasoning though. I'm not after the personal tough or anything. I just want to drive in, drop the car off, say what I want done, get a call, have them tell me what they have found, pay for it, and then be on my merry way. From my experience here, these guys are efficient enough for me. On top of that, they do night service so I can call them in the morning, be able to drop it off at 4:30pm on the same day (other places I called before made me book like 1 week in advanced), and if all goes well, pick it up around 7:30pm.

Also in the West....

DO NOT USE GRAND TOYOTA IN WANGARA. Either when purchasing a new car or for servicng. I had three new cars through them and the sales team were great....except the after sales care is appalling....you are just a number and the place is always so busy, that your car is rushed through. I have had so many bad experiences with them that i will never ever use them again, even if they offered me half price servicing. One example......mechanics doing burnouts in the cars when taking them into the service area.....i caught them out twice and management stood up for the mechanic saying the roads are wet....well my wifes auto yaris needs full throttle to do so....:)

I now use Big Rock Toyota in Balcatta.......I bought the supposed last new TRD Aurion off the showroom floor.... I have had nothing but great results from these guys and for some reason, i am treated like a god.....i am not complaining. Maybe news got through from Toyota about my problems with Grand in Wangara.

They make me a coffee and when my wife is there also and my baby needs a nappy change, they actually come accross and take the dirty nappy of our hands and take it to the bin outside....now that is service......

Jacob Toyota, Wodonga Victoria, have only had good experiences with them so far smile.gif

It's good to get good feedback as you normally here more about bad experiences.

And yes I do work for them , I've been there 22 years.

Cheers

Reminds me of Sydney City Toyota in waterloo,
