car randomly has no power

i'm having a problem, it usually is just when i start the car.

car starts up, if its cold idles around 1700rpm all is good.

i goto drive, car starts moving chugging along barley even able to keep the revs up even with my foot planted.

this happens for about 5 seconds then it just suddenly goes away and car runs like new again.

it appears to only have begun happening since i installed the simota CAI, everything appears to be fine with that tho.

anybody had any problem like this or have any suggestions ?

Check there are no gaps anywhere with the new CAI.. and reset your ECU...

I happens to me randomly too.. usually when the car is not warmed up enough. Just warm the car up for a couple of minutes each time before you drive it and also like darkeh mentioned make sure there are no leaks from the CAI and if you are sure there arn't any, reset the ECU. But i am sure that's happening only because the car is not warmed up enough. The stock airbox reduces this problem when the car is cold but in the CAI it will be more apparent.

yeh its all connected fine and i have reset the ecu just the other day.

oh well i spose its not that bigger deal if its not doing any damage.
