If u dont mind, could someone please explain to me the safety risk involved here? or link me to where it was explained and also what the middle number before the 'R' means. Thanks!

235/45/20

235 refers to the width, 45 refers to the Aspect ratio, and 20 for the rim size. http://www.carbonbla...nformation.aspx

Messing with the wheels in changing the rim size and tyre profile will mess with the speedo reading. It'll inaccurately point somewhere where in fact you might be actually going slower / faster hence safety and obvious financial problems, like speeding..

Not only that, if you mess with your rolling diameter to the point that it is a fair bit of a change (3% is usually the maximum change recommended), if this is in the negative direction (smaller) then that means that for a given speed, your wheels will be rotating faster. Your brakes will then be working harder as a result.

Thanks, That link is helpful!

Hi All,

It has been a while since i've posted somthing so hope this helps as most of the time I need the help..lol

My Set up:

19" Lenso Type M ( Black with Red Lip )

Sitting on Kuhmo CCST Sports 235/35R19 - VERY NOISY TYRE

Lowered Using Pedders Sport Ryders Dropped 2" all round

NO RUBBING but sometimes too low for peoples drive ways.

Im Looking at putting the stock Sportivo Rims back on.....Do want to sell my Lenzo's if anyone is interested or will swap for stock with added money

Can contact me on 0431144069.

Thanks

My setup

Wheels - Zumbo Kuverup 20" x 8.5 +38 offset, 225/30/20 tyres

Suspension - Pedders Sports Ryder springs, ride comfort and handling has improved over stock which was a big suprise, no rubbing at all, could be a bit more lower but i guess the springs need abit of time to settle.

No issues so far.............

May be bringing up old issues, but just curious as to how your wheels have performed?

I'm assuming you had no problems fitting 20" to the sportivo? No rubbing etc? Did you have to mod anything to fit the rims?

There are many guys here running on 20s. Most of them have no problem, dpending on the tire size, offset of your wheels, and how low you low your car. Some who are running lower offset / wider wheels have their guards rolled. Other than that, they live with their scrubs.

So I've got a novice question I'm afraid - will ford tyres fit 2009 Aurion?? I seem to see some adverts stating fit ford, honda accord, toyota ????

Posted

Ford states their stud pattern is 5x114.3. So technically it will fit.

Tyres or wheels?

Sorry wheels. I have been trying to source (yes should probably just measure) the stud pattern details for aurion - not that easy to simply locate.

...Thanks Vick

Hi guys. I'm looking at swapping my stock 16" wheels for a set of 18"s from a Territory.

Would someone be able to rattle off what the 18" wheel specs for the Aurions? I'm hoping they're not too far from the Territory specs.

I believe the territory is 7.5" in width.
