Once again I'm back to ask questions regarding problems.

The battery died today and got a replacement which is the same. However, the NRMA sold some new connector things (copper) as the old ones were the originals. Now, the car idles with a pretty noticeable shake and seems to run poorly. I have read online that it could be the ECU "learning its environment" again, but am really worried. Any ideas?

From my own experience with either installing a new battery or the battery being disconnected on both a Magna and the Camry I have now, the ECU has to retrain itself.

Without actually driving the car, start the car and turn on the following accessories leaving them on for at least a minute and then turn on another accessory, so you will have 3 things on at the one time.

Headlights, Fan on full, A/C. You will find the revs will drop and then pick up to where they should be. Even turning the steeing wheel will cause the revs to vary. After doing that, if an automatic, put in drive (but don't drive)and leave for a minute. Put it back in either park or neutral, and then do the same for reverse.

You may need to disconnect the battery first so the ECU loses what it already has, and begin with the above steps.

Another thing would be to check the wiring connections that are connected to the new battery post connectors (copper), maybe one of them is loose or not connected properly.
