I know this should be one of the simplest things to change on my car, but toyota seem to have made it pretty difficult. i can't work out how to remove the tail light located in the boot lid. i've tried twisting it and popping it out with a screwdriver but it won't move. can anyone help? it's a gen 4 vienta btw.

I have both the Haynes Repair Manual 1997 - 2002 and the download Pdf manuals, and neither shows anything about removing the actual tail light assembly, only replacing the bulbs. I have a station wagon, so I can't help you out there. Sorry.
