hi ham1748,

sounds like you are talking about the rear bumper bar. if you are in sydney, you should be able to find a good repairer that are willing to repair this for around $350 - $400.

hope this helps.

that might sound like a stupid question, but I would rather be seen as ignorant than to stay ignorant,

so I will ask anyway:

what is the point of fixing these small scratches?

since my missus started driving my ... hmm ... ours Stivo, I see the new scratches almost every week and all I do is touching them up with a

touch up paint. They are almost unnoticeable from the a few meters away, so why bother and spend hundreds of dollars on professional repainting?

Because these scratches you fix using touch up paint won't stand up to closer inspection.

well, touch up is a cheap temporary solution...

and yes, most scratched are unavoidable.

from ham1748 profile, ham1748 have a 2010 camry - brand new car, so why not get it fixed properly.

i would :D i guess it comes down to personal preferences...

Thanks,

I haven't noticed that ham1748 have a new car, probably makes sense to keep it shiny.
