So this started happening in my 98 7AFE.

When slowing down from say 60-50km/h or even less I hear a noticeable squeeking from the front left. Initially I googled it and thought it was a whistle but sounds much sharper. So I checked intake tubing/hoses etc and they seem pretty good.

I googled for squeeking and some possible things could be suspension points may need greasing? Possibly from the summer its dried up?

My last mechanic also owned a rolla of this age and said that the ball bearings used to always go in these cars?

Any experiences? Squeek doesn't happen when braking, only when slowing down naturally..

Start off by checking all your suspension bushes, make sure they're all sitting correctly and not cracked...

Lube all the bushes, even with a quick spray of silicone lube and drive the car again to see if it's gone... If so, then pull them out and lube properly with rubber grease...

Also, try going over all your bolts, making sure they're tight...

Possibly engine mounts, loose airbox assy, battery tray, etc...
