hey guys

i just wanna know the proper way to take out and clean out the CAI in my sportivo, im asking this because on the night when i picked up my baby, the previous owner was cleaning out all the dustand dirt that has built up in it.

i didn't actually see how he did it, so whats the right way to do it? do i rinse it out under a tap or wipe it out with a dry clean cloth?

regards leo

Depends on the type. If its a metal or dry filter, blast it with water, use a SOFT brush to get any little rocks n stuff out. If its really dirty, soak it.

If its a oiled type filter (more likely), you will need a cleaning kit, a K&N Recharger kit comes with instructions, cleaning solution and replacement oil, I use it on all my filters.

You only need to clean your filter every 3 months or so.

Edit: ah forgot to mention, make sure its 100% absolutely dry before you put it back on, unless its oiled.

As stated above that's how u clean it

Are u asking removal wise? U more than likely hav to remove the cover under the front bar to gain access to the pod, or if it's like mine I ****** off the covers
