Hi all,

after 25 years of peddling V8 fords i have just got my first toyota........97 zvj95 prado with a 5vz-fe engine, it seems that the 2 previous owners have never replaced the timing belt ( 193,000 ks) is the a a place or web site that is cheap and fair and sells good parts?

Welcome to the club :D You can pick up some good finds here, but are few and far between. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showforum=17 would be the place they'd pop up. Otherwise there would be members in your area that should be able to suggest the best place to find parts.

And congrats on the purchase clap.giflaugh.gif

Welcome mate. For general consumable mechanical stuff like timing belts etc, you can usually get a fairly decent price as it is at places like Repco and whatnot. For most of the common Toyota's, parts like that are usually readily available. If you know a mate there or a mechanic, you can go even better and get trade prices. Otherwise, with the AUD where it is at the moment, you could get some pretty good prices at many places located in the States. Those possibilities are endless.
