Any defects will be covered by warranty.

But don't sign for it until you have inspected the Body/Interior for damage.

Turn off your CAPS LOCK too.

I dunno if they will let you do this but before signing it out i would probably also recommond taking it for a drive.

make sure you go over it with a fine tooth comb and if you didnt order floormatts....... walk stright in and say im here to pick up..XXX "wtf? where are my floormatts!?"

then hopefully they will run out the back and get a set for you and put them in free of charge ;)

it must have just hit the ppl at toyota that the new sportivo that they are selling has HAD a facelift.

After you drive it, let us know if you have the imfamous metal scraping noise when accelerating, downshifting etc.

well it runs great no metal scraping noises and neat as a pin !!! changed the oil at 100 klms will get it changed again at a 1000 husband has dam racked off in it again. he has already orded mods cat back exhaust cold air intake and shift light and uni chip told him that is it lol will try taking photos tommorow p.s the lights and grill are a little diffrent :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: B) B) B) B) B)

nope looks the same as yours but i am unable to get headlight and bonnet protection for it as parts are not yet availble !!!! according to toyota !!! my hubby tells me its 6 months 05 lol How long have you had yours?

hmm .. i think the new shape models were in production (and were available here in Aus) late last year... so i don't think they are very new...

correct me if im wrong

Well I didn't notice any noise at first either but after about 500kms on the clock, I started noticing the noise. I'm not sure whether it was there at the beginning and I simply didn't notice it, or whether it only started making the noise later on.

Mine's May 05 build as well and the grille and headlight is still the same.

i have had my face lift 1zz for over a year so thats BS that you should have to wait for stuff like that considering its been the current model for over 12 months...

with regards to the delay in getting the parts being 6 months i think this is a ploy in hope that in 6 months u'll forget all about it......

This is what i would do ..... ring around to a few dealers and see if they have stock on hand and if they do then u know where u got it from is full of BS so then i would suggest that they contact those dealerships and get ur parts transfered over....

I mean ur the customer y should u care where they source their parts from....

Yeah you'd think all those sort of parts would be on hand as they fit all variants, not just sportivo.

I went into my dealer where I brough the car and asked for a bonnet protector at spare parts. they scratched their head abit when I said its a 2005 Sportivo. He looked through the book and hes like "oh , we dont have any to suit the facelifted model at the moment. We might have some next week or so, check back later."

I was like "buddy, you have 10 new corollas out in the yard and a sportivo in the showroom, how can you not keep stock of bonnet protectors and headlight covers???"

my friend has headlight/bonnet protectors on his 05 stivo and he got them when he ordered his car, i think the dealer saying you need to wait 6 mths is balony

not all dealers are like that, i pi ked up my car with floor mats (the corolla ones from toyota) headlight and bonnet protectors all fitted.

I must admit that my dealership was great with all the extras I wanted, some were thrown in, others supplied at cost.

The problem I have described above occurred after I had the car for a month so and decided I wanted a bonnet protector. I went in with the cash in my hand to buy one and they didnt have one to sell me.

      It's possible that it could be something fouling or dirt build up, dry, or a broken mechanism, so have a look and give the mechanism some lubrication, most likely though, it'll be the actuator.       Query about the correct rotors for 2006 ACV40 Camry.

      Hi, I'm looking at a set of front rotors for an ACV40 2006, 2.4L Camry. I got a good price on some RDA's at Sparesbox. However both RDA8112 and RDA7686 show as for my car and I'm wondering what the difference is and if there were changes to the rotors during the model production. So does anyone know which rotor is the correct one? Many thanks in advance.

      Your solution is akin to suggesting that switching to a different car manufacturer would resolve the issue. However, not everyone shares the same enthusiasm for using an iPhone as you do.

      Turboed Corolla Overbuilt?

      that engine will be fine, the rods are the main thing to be concerned about. The 2860 is a decent turbo for the 1zz but in this day and age I'd go for a G25-550. The injectors might be on the small side, we run DW1000's. You need a full length injector, the shorter injectors with adaptors like ID1050x dont fit the 1zz head. You don't need an aftermarket intake manifold, if you do go down that path, avoid the CNC innovations unit, it's garbage. Do the boost control with a MAC valve and control it with the aftermarket ECU of your choice, I use Link stuff on most of my builds with the G4x Storm as the minimum. I also wire a fuel pressure sensor and oil pressure sensor to the ECU in my installs. Use a decent intercooler, the better cores (ARE, PWR, Garrett, Vibrant, Plazmaman, Hypertune) work a lot better than the chinese stuff like Aeroflow. a 450x250-300 fits fairly well with custom end tanks to route the cooler pipes through next to the radiator Don't forget about the clutch and gearbox. These days I like the Uniclutch twinplate, Above 300whp you'll want to think about upgrading the 3rd and 4th gears in the box also with the SSC (Hollinger) gear set and install an LSD of your choice. If you're going to give it a hard time, you'll also want an oil cooler. I like the HKS thermostat type sandwich plates and setrab or mocal oil coolers with -10 speedflow fittings/lines (Chinese AN fittings neck down to a lot smaller internal diameter in their bends, not great for flow) You'll also want to think about brakes, Celica or Sportivo front calipers will bolt on with sportivo discs as a starting point. To have somewhere like Tunehouse do the work you'll want to budget somewhere between 20-40K

      I did the mathematics myself regarding costs vs benefits for fuel injector cleaner. I have changed from 91ULP to 95PULP and 98PULP. Price difference can be about 13 -20 cents. Compared to 91ULP, Premium quality fuel should have a better quality additive package designed to have superior engine cleaning capabilities so the engine can perform at their best.

      Camry Touring 2010 A/C Issues.

      Hi Guys, My Camry 2010 Touring just had a regas done on it and the next day for some reason it wasn't blowing cold air but the next day it is now working with nice cold air BUT every now and then we can hear and feel a like a buzz for a few secounds and today while my sister took my I could her like a mild knock sound when stopped but goes away when driving. Any idea what this could be and the A/C is always working now for now.
