Looking for SMS & GPS alarm upgrade

Hey hey,

Just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with SMS alert & GPS tracking alarm upgrades for OEM alarms?

Im looking for one, have come across the Rhino RAMv2 and another Cobra one.

Any recommendations? I dont want another alarm fob, defeats the whole purpose of smartkey entry, so this needs to be an upgrade system, not a normal standalone alarm.

I'd say just leave a smart phone somewhere discreetly in your car, that is always charged. Then use an app that will track that phone where ever it goes. With regards to an sms alert when the alarm goes off, that would be harder. Now would someone create an app for that please, thanks.

Other than that most tracking systems available in Australia have a subscription service.

The Rhino Ram sounds good.

Also installing a tracking system does reduce insurance premiums by a hundred dollars or so a year.

Hi Pete

Check out the Mongoose site under the toyota tab if the link doesnt work has gps and sms alerts and its a factory upgrade alarm can also get windows up module fitted aswell.
