Hey guys, i purchased a set of new driving lights because i do alot of highway travelling.

I'm having trouble finding the high beam active circuit. Would anyone have already gone through this installation maybe provide me a little help?

What would be a huge bonus is if someone can point me to and Aussie 93 Camry wiring diagram... been looking for weeks now on the net but nothing.

I may have to buy a full manual, or just take it to an auto-electrician ( me being an electronics buff - haa! )

Thanks for any help or comments of any kind, in advance...

Craig.

Hello again, i'm guessing that with 45 or so views on this post that not many people have done this.

FYI, I have now successfully installed my "driving lamps". A little trial and error and about 3 hours is all it took, and i saved myself a $100 auto-electrician bill.

For future reference, the 'high beam active circuit' wire that i patched into was the 'RED WITH BLUE STRIPE' wire on the centre pin of the left hand 'low beam headlight (?)' bulb adaptor. (not the high beam bulb adaptor as i first thought - i hate desoldering!)

The lamps are 100W each, from SCA, and are an excellent addition to my night-driving experience. $50 a pair.

I didn't bother installing the in-cockpit on/off switch either, rather, just using the main high-beam flasher handle on the steering column.

Anyway, happy travels to you...

No worries mate, i hope it helps other people. :)

Where did you fit the driving lights? I bought a mounting bar with number plate mount from Supercheap Auto which helps protect the lights. I hooked up the light to the high beam as well and used a relay which I hope you did. This gives you more power through the relay via the battery. The high beam wire goes to the + side on relay & other side of relay to ground.
