Hi All,

As the topic title suggests, I think the Main end bearings a shot. I have stopped driving it and need help on the best solution for this. Engine swap verses getting it fixed. Either way I know this is going to be an expensive experience.

Also, Can anyone in Mel suggest a good local (south eastern suburbs) Toyota specialist that can do this work for me?

Thanks in advance.

1zz engines are plentiful at the wreckers. Should only cost around $500 for a lowish km long engine, then about a days labour to swap it in. Will be a hell of a lot cheaper than a rebuild.

Thanks for the reply, thats what I was thinking as well. Does any of the melbourne people know anyone trust worthy they can hook me up with?

Cheers.
