Removal of front plastic pillar cover inside 2007 Camry? And DAB+ radio

Hi gang did a search and found one that said just pull it off but when I do it only comes so far and the clips look like they need to be torned some how? Also the top sits out instead of firm against the head lining.

I bought a DAB+ radio nad want to run some cables up through there. On a side note the DAB pure Highway is no good out Penrith NSW way. Tried it today and signal just keeps dropping out. So will just tuck the leads in behind the pillar, (The antanae is a stick on one and is now stuck and to remove it would ruin it.), until the powers that be inprove the signal out west. I hear that will not be until 2013 dagnabit.

You must cut the clip and replace it with a new one. It's made to stay locked in so it allows the airbag to come out without blowing the pillar cover off completely.

I too have the pure highway DAB+ radio, live in the western suburbs of Sydney. I too have noticed that the signal is crap once you get pas the lighthorse interchange.

I was always a bit concerned about the "high gain" antenna not doing the job and it being a waste of money. Did you consider it? I will when i get a chance.

Any updates let us know :)

I have benched the project for now so let me know how you go. Not a fan of sticking a magnetic ant on roof, more cables, ugly and theft or take on an off all the time, loved the stations though, real shame. Another box gathering dust in the garage for now.
