Hey,

I have downloaded a manual for the 2001 Toyota Avalon. I am looking to drain the radiator fluid as I just bought the vehicle for my parnter. It says to loosen the radiator drain plug and 2 engine drain plugs. I cant seem to find them, even with the diagram they showed me of there location. Can anyone please shed some light on this, with either a description, photos, or web link.

Thanks for the help,

Regards,

Michael

I have a 2001 Camry (V6) which I think has the same motor. I have never been able to find two drain cocks , only one on the front side, a little brass tap.. When I drain the coolant all I do is open the one I can find (at the front, and remove the bottom radiator hose at the radiator end only and that seems to work fine.

Never touch the rear drain bolt! It has an extremely fine thread (think of plastic screws) after 1-2 loosenings its threaded and you have no car for the next month while you wait for special bolt & block plate from japan.
