I must admit I was driving a little "spiritedly" last night on the way home from picking up pizza... and this morning I have discovered this... Im very surprised by this as it's less than 12 months old.. is this common?

Yep, had it happen with an old second hand unit on my jzx81. Tho mine was what looked like glass wadding, not steel wadding. If you purchased it here in OZ, or from an OS company that will acknowledge international warranty, send them pics... it should be covered.

It was on the car when I got it.. I spoke to the guy who sold me the car, and unfortunately for me, it was actually fitted in Japan, I thought he said he had it put on.. lucky for me he has a spare he's going to sell me. more money gone hooray....
