Hey guys,

i have a 1990 celica SX just purchased some second hand G4 racing coilovers that have only done 100kms picked the set up for 200$ (probably stolen) but my gain.

ive had them fitted the fronts are fine nice and tight no rubbing no banging

the rears however, when i hit a bump or pot hole make a really loud banging noise. but on some bumps there fine.. i think maybe the dampening is off, or not enough spring travel or no rebound im not sure ive never had coilovers before. it also rubs but i have no sway bar untill wednesday ive bought a whiteline 20mm bar with linkages so that will stop the side movement causing it to rub.

How ever they didnt come with instructions, and i belive they are missing the little knobs to go on top of the strut to adjust stiffness.

all that is there is a big nut and on top of the nut is a hex bolt, when i turn it, it spins the whole column can i still adjust stiffness or do i need those knobs?

they are 26 way i believe aswell.

I just need someone who may know how to adjust them and tell me how?

i believe the base of the spring those to C spanner thingys have been fussed with, and the research ive done says NOT to touch those. so i need to know the heights they came with standard or even someone that has them let me know what theres is set at so i can get a nice ride in the rear

any help would be sick.

Ethan.

hey guys, all goood now.

took it to a suspension mob at kotara, its sweet :)

handles like a dream,

set it up running 1.75 degree negative camber in the front, with the wheel sitting about 1 finger between that and the guard

and in the bacj the same height, but only ran .5 degree neg camber because the plates where to difficult to get to at the time.
