Ok so im looking around at the UK version Corolla t-sport steering racks. they are electronic assist instead of hydraulic. what im wondering is if they are a simple powered standalone unit or are they wired into the ecu? if anyone can find any good info on them i would be your best friend haha. been doin heaps of looking around with no luck.

there isn't a listing for a powersteer ECU on toyodiy for the T-sport, but if it's anything like other toyota's with similar systems then it will have a separate control box which has a speed input so the steering gets heavier the faster you go.

There doesn't look to be any hydraulic lines going to the T-sport rack, just the motor on the upper steering column.

ok i got a bit of info out of the Toc uk guys haha, yeh theres a seperate control box that takes feeds from your ecu for speed amongst other things. sounds like an utter headache!
