i do dwelve in turbo cars as i have a Nissan 180sx with a turbo'd SR20 motor, but im not too sure on the 7mGTE.

ive read a lot about these motors an how they are prone to blowing head gaskets because of the incorrect head torque settings.

Now the guy i bought the hilux off with the 7mgte motor, says he has bored it 20thou with Evergreen pistons & rods, and has also torqued the head up to ~91 lbs with new metal head gaskets.

Does this seem right, i know the only way ill ever know is to pull the head off but bugger that!

also any information people have on this motor would be great, ill be making a build thread with many questions so if you have any information that could help id appreciated it!

thanks all

regards

kieran
