White Pearl Paint cracking & peeling on a Prado
Yes the vehicles are past the manufactures warranty. They will always fall back to that as an answer. My case is based on the Competition & Consumer Act. The manufacturer and dealership will always say no to any claim we make in relation to paint peeling from our vehicles. What they rely on is for people to walk away because it is too hard to pursue further. If we all as individuals start the process of submitting claims via each states small claims tribunal then I believe that Toyota will need to listen. If only one of us has a win in court, it then becomes public knowledge. I am sure Toyota will not want to see another black mark against their name in Australia. They have a pending claim with the Hilux vehicles. I am looking forward to having my day in court. -

White Pearl Paint cracking & peeling on a Prado
Today I served my QCAT submission to the Toyota Dealership. Will now wait for QCAT to organise a date for mediation or a hearing at QCAT. I will keep this thread updated in relation to my journey in seeking justice from Toyota. Also please find attached the Technical bulletin that was issued by Toyota USA in relation to the paint peeling issue. T-SB-0162-19 White Paint Peeling.pdf -

White Pearl Paint cracking & peeling on a Prado
Best of luck. I had my car looked over by the local Toyota Dealership last week. !00% decline responsibility. Past it's warranty period. Really! So next step is to email Head Office, then I'm not sure. ACCC? Funny thing is the day before the appointment I saw the exact same car as mine. Same peeling issues. I took pictures. Service guy was not interested. -

2012. 200 series landcruiser going into limp mode
Did you finally work out the issue as mine does exactly what your car does? Mines a 2009 and I have a Steinbauer CPU unit fitted to my car and Toyota blamed the unit. I’m getting exactly the same code under similar conditions but never happened whilst not towing, only difference is I had a MAF sensor fault as well and changed that out and that fixed that code but now my mechanic is about to change the boost control valve to hopefully fix it. -

Ultra Racing 19mm rear sway bar snapped in half
Updating this thread as we are talking about sway bar qualities. A company called Drive Industries make a 20mm rear sway bar for the Aurion. Have anyone heard of it/used it? It's significantly more expensive then the Ultra Racing, and 1mm bigger diameter, is it worth it? https://www.driveindustries.com.au/collections/toyota-aurion-2006-2011-acv4-gsv4/products/dbr76-20a-heavy-duty-sway-bar-20mm-adjustable- 1

2020 Rav 4 edge front end strange noise
Hi I was wondering if anyone with a current rav has experienced this. I have noticed a strange sound from the front end - it sounds kind of like the wiper motor sound if I can describe it, but it is a lot deeper and louder. When I drive at low speeds this noise comes and goes and varies in length. It doesn't depend on turning, braking or going over bumps - it just happens randomly. Toyota cant replicate the sound and as usual I couldn't replicate it while there. Anyone heard similar noises in their front end who can relate to this sound? Thanks kata -
